In my opinion all spinning rods and reels designed for big fish can be expressly labelled as saltwater and freshwater fishing equipment. For fishing in salt waters anglers typically use ultra light fishing poles simply because they are a lot easier to handle.
Majority of newly produced fishing rods and reels, with some minor exceptions, are manufactured from such materials so to make them less susceptible to corrosion caused by saltwater. Although most manufacturers still recommend for sea fishing tackle, reels especially, to be rinsed off in tap water after each use in order to prolong the life of equipment.
Over the years manufactures have developed various technologies which allowed them to introduce materials like fiberglass, graphite and e-glass to the world of fishing gear. They all have experimented quite a bit with these material and most of the time have come up with remarkable products.
The key to success in the world of so much competition from so many fishing gear manufacturers is in ability to produce well balanced gear. Well balanced fishing poles, rods and reels are essential for good casting. For this reason all manufacturers put guidelines on their products advising anglers which lines and lures are best suited to their fishing poles, rods and spinning reels. But if you are new to all this, I have written a series of reports on various spinning reels such as for baitcasting and for light, medium and heavy tackle spinning. This one is mainly about the light tackle spinning reels and rods.
Light tackle spinning reels are reels that are mainly designed for inshore fishing. Line capacity and strength of such reels in the 8 to 15 pound test range make them good for a variety of fish. The use of such reels in sea fishing is not very common but not that unusual.
These reels have been greatly improved over the years with the introduction of features such as light weight, line rollers, greater gear ratio, more dependable bails and stainless steel ball bearings, of course, to make them far less susceptible to rust. In freshwater, such reels are normally used with fairly basic type rods with short butts for one hand casting. This is also where the weight of the reel makes a huge difference.
One major enemy of light tackle spinning reels is a line twist. But this is not the case for all light tackle spinners because most middle and top range models with better size spools don’t have this problem. It’s only the lower range models which have rather narrow spools cannot always seem to cope with the monofil line. One way to eliminate this problem is to take out the line spool from the reel and spray it with a special lubricant which can be purchased from your local sea fishing tackle shop.
Monofil lines are good and have been used for light tackle spinning for years, now many anglers are switching to new type of lines - super lines. For starters, super lines are extremely strong, yet very thin. Ten pound test super line has an equivalent diameter of 4 pound test monofil line. This means anglers using such lines can cast tiny lures yet have more line strength for playing fish. You can find these lines probably in any local sea fishing tackle store or online.
Which fishing rod or fishing pole to chose for my reel? In saltwater, light spinning reels are better placed on a fishing rod with a longer butt. Mainly because a longer butt can be quite advantages when fighting a large size fish as it can be leaned against the body thus taking off some of the pressure from your hands. Also, even light weight saltwater rods are designed to cope with heavier lures and greater force when compared to freshwater models. Here are some examples of rods available on the market: Greys' Stalker Specimen fishing rods (great spinning rod and perfect for everything that doesn't call for huge distance work); Shimano Exage Bx Stc Mini Tele Spinning (top quality spinning rods with a minimum of transportation length); Greys Prodigy TX Specimen Rods 11 or 12 feet (plenty of crisp casting and hook setting power).
Over all, light spinning fishing gear combos are perfect for the casting in bays and rivers for small fish. It can also be used in open saltwater but only when weather and water conditions permit using light tackle. But most of all, light spinning combos are suited for fishing in tropical flat-waters.

How to catch this magical fish
All-embracing, colourful and beautiful carp. The carp has always represented a mythical and magical creature in eastern countries. It is also well believed in Japan that if the carp can swim as far as the Lodge of the Dragon it can actually assume the persona of the magical creature and become the dragon. As a result, the carp is well thought-out as a representative of person’s lifetime accomplishment and success.
The carp originated in Japan, and then it had been brought from Japan to Europe in fourteens centaury. Then, carp had been farm cultured for food and for fishing tackle for many generations.
While I over and over again return my catch into the water, I am simply not capable not to admire this fish and always and always think about its unusual history. I find tremendous pleasure in catching almost all types of fish but nothing is as good as catching carp. Over time, I have collected a great collection of carp fishing tackle. A particular part of tackle that I would be almost certain to pack in my tackle kit is my Daiwa Infinity X Bite N Run Reels. It is well known that this carp fishing tackle is of the best quality and is very reasonably priced. But it is also an investment as this reel will serve you a very long time and will never fail. In any case it is a fact that when you are straggling with that carp you are trying to pull out of water you need the best reel your money can afford and this reel is certainly capable to deliver everything you need for your carp fishing, it truly is the best carp fishing tackle on the market. The part which I like about it is that it is so light-weight.
Daiwa's manufacturer team has defiantly done their best on this reel, making it a comprehensive piece of fishing tackle which has an excess weight of only 489 grams. Be wise when it comes to fishing gear. Read this additional information on Daiwa Infinity X Bite N Run reels. The reel sustains a 40mm spool profile along with a 3 to one retriever ratio. I am amazed with how well the reel was designed because its shape and functionality is well ahead of its time. But to be Honest it is no surprise because Daiwa have been making fishing tackle for so many years and they always employ only top of teh range car fishing gear designers to design and research their products. This only proves that this reels was designed in mind with usability and toughness every carp fishing tackle should posses. It is fitted with 12 robust corrosion-resistant ball bearings and Daiwa have also used a high-impact line clip to complete the package. Daiwa Infinity X Bite N Run reels allows you to be reasonably precise when you cast which means that it will certainly assist you in catching that carp.
It is also worth mentioning that the rotor arms are vented and the reel is designed with perfect holes to the spool skirt. Also, it includes boundless anti-reverse. The reel supports up to 290m of 16lb exam line. Cooperatively these elements meet to create the X Bite N Run reel as an excellent piece of fishing gear that provides much better line lay, with all casts. For this reason I would recommend this reel to everyone. But remember to get your only from a reputable fishing tackle and gear specialist to avoid being disappointed.

All you need to know about fly fishing reels
Fly fishing is the oldest and probably the most beautiful form of fishing on our planet? Fly fishing is usually done by using fly fishing tackle such as fly rods and fly reels, or by using a fly rods alone. And although the importance of fly reels has been debated over the years, it is worth saying that fly reels contribute a great deal to the cast and to playing the fish.
There are two kinds of fly reels which you can purchase. The first one is a freshwater fly reel and the second is a saltwater fly reel. Freshwater reels tend to be cheaper than saltwater reels mainly because they are designed for catching smaller fish and for this reason they are made out of much cheaper materials. Saltwater fly reels on the other hand are designed in mind with the fact that most salt water fish species are strong and heavy and put up a much bigger fight compared to freshwater fish. This means that saltwater fly fishing gear needs to be much stronger. For this reason saltwater gear is made out of only the strongest yet still light materials available.
If it is saltwater fishing which you are planning to do then you should not cut corners when it comes to fly fishing tackle as the cheaper one may not be the one which will do the job for you.
As regards to functionality, fly fishing reels can be either single action, multiplying or automated. As you may have already guessed, single action, also known as manual reels, are generally quite basic and simple to use, nevertheless they are widely used by professional fly anglers. The spool in such reel turns with each rotation of the handle, no more, no less. They are usually considerably lighter in weight when compared to other reels mainly because they are much simpler in design and have less of moving parts which also means that they are considerably less likely to break especially compared to automated reels. The line capacity is also much greater and the drag is usually quite good. It is a great gear to use for fly fishing.
Multiplying fly reels, also referred to as semi-automated fly fishing gear, slightly differ to single action fly fishing tackle. The spool in such reels turns up to three times with each rotation of the handle which delivers a faster retrieve of the line and consequently the fish.
Automated reel is really self-explanatory i.e. you press a button and it does the job for you. But I have to say that automated fly fishing gear really take the fun away from fly fishing. More often than not, such fishing tackle would lack good line capacity and be quite heavy due to all the extra bits and bobs. Also, most automatics would not be the best choice for saltwater fishing mainly because of luck of control over retrieve and any reasonably large fish may quickly win the fight to such reel.
No fly fishing tackle would do the job without a good quality fly rod. Fly rods vary in size, composition and material from which they are made out of. But this is the subject for another time.
So now you know all about fly fishing reels, let’s talk about where you can get one. Well, if you have already decided on which fly reel you want you can always try Angling Direct fly fishing tackle store. They have a great selection of fly reels and other fly fishing gear to suit every budget.

Carp fishing tackle explained
Carp fishing is very popular in the UK, maybe because specialist carp lakes can be found in almost every city and carp tackle is so widely available. If you have tried at least once fishing for carp, then you have probably fallen in love with it. But if you are only a beginner to carp fishing or generally do not know about carp fishing tackle i will try to help you.
So, if you are planning to give carp fishing a go these are all the carp fishing tackle you will need: carp rigs, probably at least two carp rods, carp reels to go with your carp rods, line, carp bait and a lot it.
Carp reels
When it comes to carp tackle, big pit reels are some of the most common carp reels used for carp fishing. Do you know what big pit carp reels are? These carp reels are equipped with a large fixed spool and generally have a very high capacity. Large spool is essential if you want to achieve an even load of you line. If you are looking to get yourself a new set of carp reels make sure you do your research because you need to get carp reels which can deliver a very smooth cast. Smooth cast is essential because the easier the line comes off, the further the carp rig would fly and the more likely you catch yourself a good size carp. I would suggest you do your research online, read some reviews, speak to fellow carp anglers on industry social networks or visit your local carp fishing tackle store this will defiantly help you decide what carp reels are best for you.
Carp rods
If you do not know much about carp fishing tackle then this would give you some idea. I have found that the best length for a carp rod is about twelve foot. However, you may need a shorter rod if the place where you are fishing is not very large. It is up to you really if you want to get your rod online or from a carp tackle specialist, but i would probably get it online since you are more likely to get yourself a good deal. Carp rods are best managed with the use of rod rests mainly because carp fishing often consists of a lot of waiting around and a good quality rest for your carp rods can really do the trick for you. If you do not own one yet I would strongly suggest you get one from your local carp fishing tackle shop so you can see and feel what you buy, plus you could also try it in store with carp rods which will defiantly help you to decide and get the one which is right for you.
Carp rigs
Do you know much about carp rigs and how they are set up? Carp rigs are just another essential bit of carp tackle you need for carp fishing. Did you also know that the size of carp you catch can largely depend on quality, reliability and effectiveness of your carp rigs? This is because over time carp can get accustomed to carp rigs and can easily outsmart you. The most common carp rigs used for carp is a bottom fishing set up. In such set up the line becomes weighted and as a result lays on the very lakebed. If you are using such set up you need to make sure that your line, trace and weights are in such colour so to make them concealed and you bate is sitting a couple of inches below the hook or carp may notice it and will be less willing to bite. Such set up is most advantages because carp will bite the bait without feeling the hook.
Be wise when it comes to selecting carp tackle. Good quality carp tackle is not hard to find, just speak to other anglers on lakes and social networks and try to get some idea on what is good carp tackle.

Carp fishing for dummies
Carp are
the most desired fresh water fish in the UK. The reasons for this are not too
hard to understand, because carp quickly grow to a large size, providing us
with good chance of coming across a fish of 20 lb and more. Carp also fight
harder than any other species of fish which makes the carp fishing experience
at times fairly challenging. It is recorder that the largest carp ever caught
in Europe was over 90 pounds. I cannot even imagine what a straggle that was.
Do you know
much about carp? Carp is a common freshwater fish which can be found in lakes
and rivers throughout our planet. Carp can be traced back for almost two
thousand years. Carp are not only found to be living in the wild. For well over
a century now people have domesticated carp and have been growing carp in
specially built carp farms both for profit and fishing.
Carp can survive
by eating a vegetarian diet of water plants, but they also favour to search for
insects, worms and crawfish it is therefore advisable to use natural carp
fishing tackle when fishing for carp. But if money is tight and you decide to
go for cheap fishing tackle,
at least try to chose a reputable carp fishing tackle supplier.
Did you know that in many countries and most
of Europe carp meat is considered to be a delicacy? Although I can safely say
that it is not the case in the UK because we only tend to use carp for carp
fishing.
Carp are
not hard to catch when they are stocked in reasonable numbers but sometimes it
can be a struggle to get through to a bigger one, let’s say 30 lb and more and
it’s even harder to get there by using cheap fishing tackle.
When carp
fishing in a lake, it is almost certainly best to try to fish in only a couple
of swims rather than trying many different areas, because by constantly baiting
the same swims with carp
fishing tackle you are more likely to catch as many and as consistently
as possible, and eventually get through to the bigger carp. Nevertheless,
initially do not bait any particular area with carp fishing tackle, instead try to spread some bait
in as many corners of the lake as possible so to allow carp to taste the fishing tackle. To
achieve the best result, carry on for as long as possible by putting around 3
or 4lb of bait fishing
tackle at a time, at least a couple of times a week. After this, select
a couple of areas of the lake and continue to bait those areas with carp fishing tackle.
You should
also be wise when selecting cheap
fishing tackle. Carp get used to dealing with rigs because they come
across them every day. It is therefore advisable to give the carp a bit more
confidence by baiting areas with carp bait and let them feed freely. Boilies
are an excellent fishing
tackle which you can use for big carp fishing, but a cheap fishing tackle like particles
and carp pellets are not so much. You should also try to purchase your carp
bait from only reputable carp
fishing tackle suppliers, because good quality bait fishing tackle will
increase your chances of success and will help you catch more often. But, if
you really insist on using cheap
fishing tackle such as carp rigs, at least try to use the sharpest hook
possible.
Do not be
afraid to introduce bait fishing tackle repeatedly. Most carp anglers tend to think that baiting up once
a session is enough. On the contrary, carp baiting should be no different to
match baiting, therefore next time you are trying to catch the big one, don’t
forget to bait your carp a little more often so to improve your carp fishing
experience.

Sea fishing and how to choose you sea fishing gear and sea fishing tackle
If you are a fan of sea fishing and like to shop for sea fishing gear, then this report would probably be of interest to you. It is well known to all fishermen that fish species are divided to freshwater fish and oceanic fish. Although, interestingly enough, on our planet you can find some species of fish, such as mudskippers, that mostly live on land. That’s right, on land! What is more interesting is that fish vary in size from something as little as one centimetre to huge sixteen metre monsters, and as any experienced fishermen would tell you, the most diversity of fish can be found in oceanic or sea waters.
If you are enthusiastic about sea fishing, then you probably like sea fishing for cod. Do you know much about cod? Well, interestingly enough Cod in itself is not a particular type of fish but a name used to refer to a whole range of fishes from a similar genus. Cod meat is white in colour, flaky once cooked and absolutely delicious. Although, cod liver is considered to be a delicacy in many countries and is also used in production of vitamins, food supplements and even cosmetics.
So, enough talking about cod, let’s talk about sea fishing tackle . So some might ask, which sea fishing tackle or which fishing gear should you be using when fishing for cod? What is considered as good quality sea fishing tackle and fishing gear? Which sea fishing tackle and fishing gear is good value for money? Well, it’s not that simple because everyone has their own opinion, but what I am going to do is suggest to you what I have been using for years, which is Daiwa’s sea fishing tackle. That’s right I have been using Daiwa sea fishing tackle for catching cod, for years and its great. One of my favourites is a Daiwa Sea Bass fishing rod. This rod is a remarkable piece of art of fishing tackle and is excellent for cod or bass fishing whatever the weather. This rod feels and handles beautifully. One of the features I really like about it is how compact it is compared to its rivals, which is great for transporting and storing your rod away. It also provides great power to weight ratio, good bite detection and is very easy to cast.
Daiwa are well known in the fishing tackle and sea fishing tackle industry and the Daiwa Sea Bass Rod clearly features all the company’s expertise and offers a complete sea fishing rod at a very affordable cost. Above all, it is evident that Daiwa have spent some time researching the field of fishing tackle and clearly have brought some of their experience and technology. Daiwa have been making fishing tackle for years so if you are looking to get yourself some fishing tackle you should certainly give Daiwa a try. I like to experiment with my fishing gear so when I fish for cod I try to apply various lures such as salt pro minnow lure and classic shad lure and I have to say that all work really well with this rod because it is quite powerful. As regards to handling, when I tested this road I tested it equipped with a Daiwa’s 7th mag multiplier reel it was a good sea fishing tackle combination. The rod offers features you would get in a considerably more high-priced rods but quality and usability of this rod considerably better. Daiwa Sea Bass Rod is a creation of superior quality.
So next time you are looking to get yourself some great fishing gear try this top quality rod ad you will not be disappointed.

Beginners guide to carp Fishing, or how to catch big carp?
Carp are the most desired fresh water fish in the UK. The reasons for this are not too hard to understand, because carp quickly grow to a large size, providing us with good chance of coming across a fish of 20 lb and more. Carp also fight harder than any other species which makes the carp fishing experience at times fairly challenging.
Carp are not hard to catch when they are stocked in reasonable numbers but sometimes it can be a struggle to get through to a bigger one, let’s say 30 lb and more.
When carp fishing in a lake, it is almost certainly best to try to fish in only a couple of swims rather than trying many different areas, because by constantly baiting the same swims you are more likely to catch as many and as consistently as possible, and eventually get through to the bigger carp. You should also try to use good quality carp rods and carp reels. Nevertheless, initially do not bait any particular area, instead try to spread some carp bait in as many corners of the lake as possible so to allow carp to taste the bait. To achieve the best result, carry on for as long as possible by putting around 3 or 4lb of carp bait at a time, at least a couple of times a week. After this, select a couple of areas of the lake and continue to bait those areas with carp bait.
You should also be wise when selecting your carp fishing tackle. Carp get used to dealing with rigs because they come across them every day. It is therefore advisable to give the carp a bit more confidence by baiting areas with carp bait and let them feed freely. Boilies are excellent for big carp fishing but particles and carp pellets are not so much. You should also try to purchase your carp bait from only reputable carp fishing tackle suppliers, because good quality carp bait will increase your chances of success. But, if you really insist on using carp rigs, at least try to use the sharpest hook possible.
Do not be afraid to introduce carp bait repeatedly. Most carp anglers tend to think that baiting up once a session is enough. On the contrary, carp baiting should be no different to match baiting, therefore next time you are trying to catch the big one, don’t forget to bait your carp a little more often so to improve your carp fishing experience.
